Since mid-2022, the Youth Center Žalec, located in the heart of Žalec, also manages hotel facilities. The MC Hotel is a 3-star hotel offering forty-one (41) rooms (single or double) and two (2) suites.
The reception is closed on weekends and holidays, but operates from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM during the week. Check-in is possible during the week from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and check-in outside of these hours requires prior notice and arrangement with the reception.
There is a large free parking area in front of the hotel, and several grocery stores, charming clothing boutiques, a drugstore, a bank, and a post office are located nearby. The world-famous Green Gold Beer Fountain, where you can taste many premium beers and relax under the shade of mighty lime trees, is also within close proximity. Just a few steps along the cobbled promenade will bring you to the bus station, from where numerous bus lines depart to almost every direction in Slovenia. In a natural setting, near the Vrbje Fishpond, you will find another camper parking area – PZA Hopsladnija Vrbje, which is an ideal starting point for exploring Žalec and the Lower Savinja Valley.
There are 18 parking spaces available, with a fee of €10.00, which includes a 24-hour "camper stop," 3 kWh of electricity, and 100 liters of water. Additional water (100 l) and electricity (1 kWh) can be purchased for €0.50.
At the parking lot near the House of the 2nd Slovenian Camp, there is a sixth camper stop. The exceptional location near the sports center, cultural hall, and just a few hundred meters from the world's first Beer Fountain – the Green Gold Beer Fountain – attracts campers from near and far.

From the Tratnik Farm, you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding hills, especially Šmohor and Gozdnik. In the immediate vicinity of the farm is the famous Kotečnik climbing area, where climbing enthusiasts from Slovenia and other European countries come to test their skills in sport climbing.
The Tratnik family is known for their delicious wood-fired oven specialties, such as homemade bread and other baked goods. You’ll also be delighted by many other local treats.
